I always wondered why they climb mountains...are they dumb enough to commit themselves in such activity that not only requires great time and energy but also has no "real purpose"?!?.. I mean what the heck is climbing....I can do it in my own backyard. Oh yah! I got it.

Mountaineering is for someone who wants to tell his friends about how tough he really is. Hey Joe! I just climb the highest mountain in the universe. I'm invincible! I'm great! I'm the King of the World! Huh...the hell with you idiot. They always tell me how hard mountaineering is, Yes its hard but try climbing the tallest tree in your backyard 100 times how would you feel. Is it hard? It's just plain old dumbness of man to do crazy things. I'm not going to be a mountaineer. I never will be.

Well you heard the man. That was his opinion. And I respect everybody's opinion. Now its time to see the other side of the equation. Men were born adventurer. We just love to do things that challenge our very own limitations.

It’s the driving force that took early explorers to encircled the globe and discovered a lot of things. They are not contented in just plain stories of other explorers. Instead they packed their equipments and headed to the unknown. Well the rest was history. I’m not like them. I did not discover anything relevant to the history of the world nor I didn’t found any new species of animal or new continent. Did you know what I had found? Myself. That was my greatest discovery of all!!

It’s realizing who we really are. It’s about discovering your capabilities and identifying your weakness in the comfort of sitting above the clouds. It’s about getting away from the noisy confusions of life. It’s about becoming one with nature. Surely it’s a luxury that we can’t get easily. It’s a long journey to the top. A journey to yourself.
